About Eat Local SA

Are you passionate about eating and buying authentic South Australian food? We’ve created an easy way for you to find it on menus and in stores across the state, Eat Local SA. Get your tummy growling and visit Eat Local SA venues located across every region of South Australia. You can explore local food from restaurants, cafes, pubs, and cellar doors through to farm gate, retail, catering, accommodation and food tourism experiences.

Eat Local SA helps you locate venues that serve and sell the very best South Australian food on their menus and shelves across the state. In our food service venues (Restaurant, Café, Pub, Stay, Catering and Cellar Door) you should expect to find one main dish where the main or naming ingredient is sourced locally and detailed on your menu, whilst in metropolitan Adelaide you should expect two dishes. At food retail venues (Cellar Door, Farm Gate, Retail and Experience) you should expect a display of at least 10 different South Australian products or various preparations of a specialty product.

Eat Local SA is a great initiative for consumers to support both South Australian food producers and our food service industry by dining at venues which actively choose to include local produce on their menu. Look for the Eat Local SA signs as you travel around the regions, or use our website to plan your Eat Local SA itinerary.
