About the Eyre Peninsula

The Eyre Peninsula spans some 2,000km of spectacular untamed coastline and offers the traveller dining experiences showcasing the magnificent flavours of world class seafood.

This is Australia’s seafood frontier. The diverse wild and aquaculture products produced by Eyre Peninsula’s seafood industry have earned their reputation for excellence over 30 years of commitment, pride and passion. Now recognised by the global seafood industry and chefs nationally and internationally as an iconic seafood region, this region produces seafood of an intense, rare quality in some of the cleanest waters in the world. Eating locally here might mean fresh abalone, tuna, whiting and more, including oysters of a quality chefs normally like to keep for themselves.

The Eyre Peninsula’s third generation fishermen are fiercely protective of their natural resources and have forged a unique partnership with local chefs to present the very best of its bounty in a wide range of dishes and dining environments. Accessible yet isolated in its raw beauty, the Eyre Peninsula is where you can indulge in the results of nature’s abundance.
