About the Fleurieu Peninsula

Visitors call the Fleurieu Peninsula the ‘perfect peninsula’. The locals simply call it ‘the Fleurieu”. No matter what you call it, this region is the perfect fit for a relaxing local food experience.

Just a stone’s throw from Adelaide, this is where a raw coastline and rolling hills frame lush paddocks. It’s where you can sip a wine grown from grapes caressed by sea breezes or check out a local micro-brew. Or take to the beach, pub or paddock for a picnic created from local produce.

The rich lands of this peninsula are the secret behind some of South Australia’s finest dairy produce, from independent milk brands to hard and soft cheeses. Those cheeses go very well indeed with the region’s olives, which now enjoy an international reputation for their great flavour. And you will find flapping-fresh seafood available to suit any desire, from fish and chips to fine dining with breathtaking views of sea and sky.

The Fleurieu Peninsula is all about fresh air and fresh food. It’s the perfect peninsula for a picnic!
